Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Taree

The foundation stone of Our Lady of the Rosary Church Taree was laid by Bishop Murray in 1871, and the official opening of the church was in 1873. With the growing number of Catholics in the area, the church was rebuilt. The foundation stone was laid in 1929 and Our Lady of the Rosary Church was opened by Bishop Gleeson in 1930. The parish was established in 1876 and is wide-spread, having five Mass centres at Taree, Old Bar, Cundletown, Harrington and Lansdowne.
