The purpose of celebrating Musical Ensembles in this Year of Jubilee is to become aware of, and give thanks for, the contribution of those who use their musical skills to support and enhance the liturgy, and to serve the community in other ways.

The Jubilee of Confraternities honours the many members of Catholic confraternities around the world, highlighting the value of such groups and their important mission.

This Jubilee celebrates the importance of the family unit, recognising the unique roles played by children and grandparents; and also honours the elderly members of our communities, some of whom are without family members of their own.

The Jubilee of Sport celebrates the opportunities within sport for evangelisation and encounter with Jesus Christ, recognising the many ways that sport can foster the full development of the human person.

The Jubilee of Seminarians celebrates the gift of God’s call to the priesthood and priestly formation. It is an opportunity for the Church to renew her commitment to form priests after the heart of the Good Shepherd and encourage others to respond generously to Christ’s call.
